I tend to live-and-let-live when it comes to nature, but I declared war on stinkbugs* when my wife was bitten by one near her eye, while she was sleeping.

*Stinkbugs are also generally known as stink bugs, shield bugs or Pentatomidae.

Every day I find two or three crawling on a wall, ceiling or light fixture.

Here’s the fast, easy and nearly free method I use for killing stinkbugs:

1. put a tiny bit of liquid dish soap* in a glass or coffee mug

2. fill the mug or glass about halfway with water

3. use an envelope or note card to cause the stinkbug to fall into the soap-water mixture

4. the stinkbug will be dead in about a minute

*We use 7th Generation natural dish soap, which doesn’t have toxic chemicals (except from the stinckbug’s perspective)

I dump the container of stinkbug carcasses outside every day or two and start over.

Happy stinkbug killing !

A great thing to always be aware of: is the person you’re dealing with being paid to look out for your interest first and foremost (whether a transaction takes place or not), or do they earn a commission or bonus for a transaction taking place?

If it’s the latter, do you really think you’re getting perfectly objective advice that’s always in your best interest?

It’s possible you are, but not likely.
